Dynojet is a household name for those households that prefer entertainment based on a combination of wheels and engines. Dynojet dynamometers are used by top tuners worldwide, Jet Kits revolutionized carburetor tuning, and the Dynojet Power Vision is the go-to choice for easy fuel management. When Harley-Davidson introduced the Pan America adventure bike, Dynojet set out to provide a suite of products to both tune and protect Milwaukee’s latest model, a bike made for a segment H-D has never played in before.

It is no secret that Harley-Davidson’s core customer demographic is getting older, and in order to survive, H-D has made several attempts to re-energize and/or re-invent itself in order to remain profitable. Electric motorcycles, electric bicycles, expansion into Asia, and a string of proposed new models are all meant to get Harley back to the happy side of the balance sheet.

With the Pan America, Harley-Davidson has stepped out if its comfort zone and into the very popular adventure bike market. They did it with an all-new engine, still a V-twin like Harley’s traditional cruiser models, but with liquid-cooling, dual overhead cams with four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, short stroke, and 9,500 rpm redline. A claimed 150 horsepower and 94 lb-ft of torque combined with adjustable ride modes and lightweight magnesium case covers help give the Pan America the performance to compete in a crowded segment. Add to that the party trick that is Harley’s new Adaptive Ride Height (ARH) system and the Pan America makes a serious case against the best from Europe and Japan.

However, as brilliant as any motorcycle may be, there is always room for improvement and upgrades. Enter Dynojet and its new Pan America Collection, a series of products designed to protect and increase performance of H-D’s all-terrain touring machine.

On the performance side of things, Dynojet’s Power Vision flash tuner is already well-known in Harley circles as the quickest and most powerful tuner on the market. With a 3.5” touch-screen display, Molex 8-pin vehicle interface cable, several mounting options, and a rugged weather, shock, and vibration resistant case, the Power Vision is a perfect compliment to uncork the potential of the Pan America’s powerplant.

One unique capability of the Power Vision for the Pan America is the autotune feature that can monitor rides, then create a custom tune based on the rider’s specific data. Tunes can be flashed at any time on the road, either autotune, custom tunes, or chose from a variety of tunes engineered by Dynojet.

Dynojet also makes a more affordable flash tuner for the Pan America – the Power Vision 3. You won’t get touchscreen functionality, but it is loaded features to let you get more out of your motorcycle. You can flash tune your motorcycle from the road at any time, quickly build your own tune or choose from a host of Dynojet-engineered tunes, and it can be mounted to your bike and used as a live diagnostic panel as you ride.

On the protection side, Dynojet has a variety of guards, sliders, and accessories for the Pan America. An aluminum rear brake reservoir guard protects this surprisingly vulnerable part from knocks and tipovers. A beefy aluminum chain guard is available to replace the stock plastic unit, all the better to keep debris and toes from disturbing the chain and rear sprocket.

Another vulnerable part that needs protection on the Pan America is the ignition coil, mounted between the cylinders but protruding enough to be exposed in the event of a tip over. Dynojet’s ignition coil guard features a steel bracket that is laser cut, precision bent, and powder coated black, combined with an alumninum cover that is CNC machined and stealth gray anodized.

The Pan America’s sidestand switch is yet another vulnerable part just waiting to cut a ride short. Dynojet’s sidestand switch guard is 6061-T6 aluminum, hard anodized grey, and comes with all the necessary hardware for installation.

With the Pan America collection, Dynojet is continuing their tradition of providing industry leading performance and protection products that offer easy installation, maximum durability, and high-quality fit and finish. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, Dynojet began with tuning race motorcycles, releasing their now legendary Jet Kits in the 1970s. Then, as a way of proving the gains their Jet Kits provided, Dynojet created the first inertia dynamometer, a more accurate and portable alternative to the large, cumbersome and imprecise dynos of the era.

When fuel injection became mainstream, the Dynojet Power Commander was created to tune bikes the way that their Jet Kits did on carbureted engines. A decade later, the Power Vision came online to provide even more control to the process, a product that evolved in leaps and bounds, culminating in the combined tuner, diagnostics tool, and auxiliary instrument panel that is offered today.

Harely-Davidson enthusiasts have known the advantages of Dynojet products for years, and as H-D has evolved, Dynojet has followed. With a new engine, new platform, and a new class of machine, the Pan America moves in a new direction for Harley, and Dynojet is on board to optimise and protect this new class of Harley-Davidson.
