Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder announced the details of his new solo album, Earthling, and released the second single "The Haves".

This song was released after the song "Long Way" released two months ago and before the arrival of LP on February 11. The record can be ordered now. The lyrics video of "The Haves" can be seen below.

The album was recorded by Vedder’s new band Earthman, which includes former Red Hot Chili Peppers member Josh Klinghoffer-the recently recruited Pearl Jam-and his former band member, RHCP Drummer Chad Smith. The group also includes producer and guitarist Andrew Watt, known for his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne.

This album was produced when Vedder visited his old friend Watt's home studio in Los Angeles. "We just started messing around," Watt told the "Long Road" variety show. "I want to chase and accomplish something right away," he said. "It's the right place and the right time. It all happened very organically. It sounds like people playing together in a room. This is what a good rock song should look like."

Although Pearl Jam ended a three-year absence in a performance in September, Vader has been busy producing the soundtrack for the Sean Penn film Flag Day, recording the AC/DC classic "To Hell" The cover of "Road" Tom Morello and Bruce Springsteen appeared on Elton John's The Lockdown Sessions LP.

Speaking of the time his main band was away from the spotlight after finishing work on its latest album Gigaton, Vedder told Bill Simmons podcast: "We are a bit reclusive by nature. So, in some ways, it feels normal to be away from the crowd. It must be my cab... I have been thinking that the first time we appeared in front of people-it is hard to even imagine when or how-it will be different. It wasn't that we didn't appreciate it before, It's only ten times."
